In what ways are the Internet and interactive communication technologies impacting university pedagogy? Tertiary institutions are now filled with students who are digital natives. How do we best prepare our students to be skilled knowledge workers who can out-perform the competition by using Web 2.0 technologies?
To help us explore this question, Dr Michael Netzley will share pedagogical case studies from around the globe to see how faculty are enriching the learning experience by using social media. He will also reflect on some of the most recent research, presenting both opportunities and challenges, regarding social media and learning. Dr Netzley will discuss the potentials and pitfalls of bringing social media into the university classroom and share practical steps for transitioning to technology-assisted learning.
Dr. Michael A. Netzley, PhD is the Practice Assistant Professor of Corporate Communication Singapore Management University.
