As Dave McClure the Super Angel of 500 Startups famously said “no way any normal motherfucker is gonna do this check-in shit”. Apparently Dave is wrong and the folks in SouthEast Asia are digging this check in nonsense. Engagement specialist Teoh Mei Ying wrote on her site on how popular the location based service has picked up in the region. Perhaps that is one of the reason why Foound, the app that most people put their hope as THE Asean app that will make it big is now lost.
